«There are two ways to live your life.

One is as though nothing is a miracle.

The other is as though everything is a miracle.»

Albert Einstein.

Want to go to a party hosted by Salvador Dalí, Keith Haring, Frida Kahlo, or Rene Magritte? Perhaps you’d like to see Toulouse-Lautrec sing accompanied by Alexander Vertinsky on the guitar, or listen to Coco Chanel reminiscing her days as a cabaret dancer? Maybe go and see a bullfight..?

Or see women being seduced by Don Juan as if straight from one of El Greco’s paintings..? A new, three-part show, «Body/Soul. Life as a Miracle» will be presented on the theater's main stage. Viewers will find themselves in an artist’s workshop at night or training in a gym, which will suddenly turn into a retelling of a short film by Jean-Luc Godard. They’ll also be guests at a splendid party dedicated to the opening of an art exhibition.

And, most importantly, the space of the theatre hall will turn into something unrecognizable to friends and admirers of our theater. A huge antique head will become a surface for mapping, and viewers, following well-established tradition, will be fascinated by an onstage extravaganza and rampant imagination from the show’s creators. The viewers will become participants of the performance around them! The show features collections that have made their way to the stage of Leningrad Center straight from the catwalks, including works from Tatyana Parfionova and Julia Dalakian!

The performance has been choreographed by: Oleg Khmelev, Ksenia Mikheeva (recipient of the Golden Mask award), and the circus acts were created by Alexey Ishmaev, winner of the Silver Medal at Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain (The World Festival of the Circus of Tomorrow). The audience will also see surprises prepared by Victoria Chapaikina and Darya Sherstobitova, who are European and world champions in pole dancing. Balancing acts, aerial acrobatics, hip hop, frame up, puppet theater shows, clowns, magic tricks, and singing, they’ll all be blended together with experimental dancing! Flamenco stars Stepan and Natalya Pribytko, finalists in both seasons of Channel One’s dancing project, «Dance Revolution» will perform as guests.

“It’s important for us to immerse the audience in the world of miracles that you can find in an artist’s mind during the creative process. But we prefer to talk about it with irony and love! We’ll be telling a love story about two artists — a man and a woman!” says Felix Mikhailov, the show’s Artistic Director and Stage Manager.
